Speaker Spotlight: Benedikt Terhechte – Humans Still Needed: Learnings from Refactoring an Ancient Codebase

We’re excited to announce Benedikt Terhechte as a speaker at Agentic Conf Hamburg on March 22nd!

About Benedikt

Benedikt Terhechte is Director of IRON at MoonPay. He previously worked on the iOS Platform team at XING and has always had a love for side projects — which have only been increasing now that AI makes it much easier to go from idea to solution.

The Talk: Humans Still Needed: Learnings from Refactoring an Ancient Codebase

AI agents have become fantastic at green field projects. However, getting them to work correctly on existing, complex codebases can be a challenge. Benedikt recently ported a 100k LoC Obj-C/OpenGL iOS game from 2011 to modern iOS with the help of Claude Opus.

This required much more than a simple prompt. The agent lacked the creativity to solve this task, it was often overwhelmed, and some problems required a change of abstraction.

The talk will go through the initial setup, how he improved it during the project, what the agent struggled with, and how he was able to guide it.

Speaker Spotlight: Daniel Schreiber & Felix Behrendt – We're Not Developers. We Built a 116K LoC Production System Anyway.

We’re excited to announce Daniel Schreiber and Felix Behrendt as speakers at Agentic Conf Hamburg on March 22nd!

About Daniel & Felix

Daniel Schreiber is Co-Owner & COO of AFC Group. With a background in chemical engineering (ETH Zurich), management consulting (Bain & Company), and an MBA (IMD), he built the AFC Group from 3 employees in 2001 to a 350-person corporation. In 2019, AFC acquired nobleglass — Germany’s leading automotive glass business — and Daniel drove its transformation into a mobile service operation. He started coding a first version in late 2023 to solve immediate needs, and from Christmas 2025 rebuilt the entire system to full spec. 1,770+ commits later: a production system optimizing daily routes for 85 technicians across Germany.

Felix Behrendt is Head of Product at AFC Group. He spent a decade at Lufthansa Industry Solutions building software used by 100,000 pilots and engineers daily, followed by product leadership at Volocopter. He joined AFC in 2025 and immediately started shipping — interactive Gantt scheduling, mobile technician app, frontend architecture — all with AI coding tools. He brings the rare combination of someone who’s written production code professionally and led product teams, now using AI to collapse the distance between the two.

The Talk: We’re Not Developers. We Built a 116K LoC Production System Anyway.

Most AI coding talks follow the same script: developers using AI to work faster. This is a different story.

Neither Daniel nor Felix works as a software engineer. Both built this part-time — weekends, holidays, evenings. Together, with Claude Code and Pi, they built 116,000 lines of code, 2,100+ commits, optimizing routes for 85 technicians across 40 depots handling 150-200 jobs per day across Germany. In full production since January 2026.

It started with route optimization — multi-depot, multi-vehicle VRP with OR-Tools, two-man job synchronization, time windows, technician constraints. But the system grew into a four-phase yield optimization pipeline: restrictions engine, k-medoids geographic clustering on real travel-time matrices, constraint-based routing, and a mobile frontend putting the plan directly into technicians’ hands.

Their key insight: the bottleneck in AI coding was never the code — it was always the domain knowledge. AI can generate any pattern you ask for. But only you know that morning time windows in Munich mean something different than in Hamburg. That knowledge — 25 years of it — turns AI output from plausible garbage into a production system.

Speaker Spotlight: Alexander Stolle – AI Coding Tool Adoption at XING: From Exploration to Commitment

By Agentic Hamburg Team
Speaker Spotlight: Alexander Stolle – AI Coding Tool Adoption at XING: From Exploration to Commitment

We’re excited to announce Alexander Stolle as a speaker at Agentic Conf Hamburg on March 22nd!

About Alexander

Alexander Stolle is Director of AI & Data at XING. He began his career in 2000 as a C++/Python developer and Linux system administrator, later designing highly available telecom systems and large-scale globally distributed platforms in the gaming industry. He now leads Data and AI at XING, staying close to the technology while applying a production engineering mindset shaped by decades of building resilient systems.

The Talk: AI Coding Tool Adoption at XING: From Exploration to Commitment

Instead of prematurely committing to one AI coding tool, XING treated the early phase as structured exploration. As CLI-based agents and workflow integrations matured, the question shifted from “which tools should we allow?” to “which stack should we commit to?”

This session details how they made the transition — from tool comparison and developer friction to governance and security considerations. It also addresses the harder question: how do you evaluate value when AI behaves more like Slack adoption than a feature with a simple ROI calculation?

Speaker Spotlight: Hendrik Mans – Woop Coding!

We’re excited to announce Hendrik Mans as a speaker at Agentic Conf Hamburg on March 22nd!

About Hendrik

Hendrik Mans has been building software for three decades. That’s at least four too many.

The Talk: Woop Coding!

It’s time to face the shaming, ditch the vibing, and do some real freaking development together with your robot friend as an extension of yourself, not a servant.

Hendrik calls it Woop Coding: looks like Vibe Coding to the untrained eye, but with reliably great results, because you’re smart, you’re experienced, you’re probably also beautiful, and you’ve learned how to use all this to turn your agent from a random result emitting automaton into your own personal power armor.

Now you’re unbeatable. Now you’re Woop Coding. Let’s do this.
